Job Title: Rentals / Events Operation Manager

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Rentals/Events Operation Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company’s event and rental services.
  • This role involves managing a team, coordinating logistics, ensuring high-quality customer service, and maximizing revenue opportunities through effective planning and execution of events and rentals.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event management, operations, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
Event Planning and Coordination:

  • Oversee all aspects of event planning, including site selection, vendor management, budgeting, scheduling, and logistics.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and ensure events meet their expectations.
  • Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and checklists to ensure smooth execution.

Rental Operations:

  • Manage the inventory of rental items, ensuring availability and condition of items.
  • Coordinate delivery, setup, and teardown of rental equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure all rental agreements and contracts are executed properly and in a timely manner.

Team Management:

  • Lead, train, and manage a team of event coordinators, rental staff, and support personnel.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review upcoming events and rentals, and assign responsibilities.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Customer Service:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations with clients to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Financial Management:

  • Prepare and manage budgets for events and rental operations.
  • Monitor revenue and expenses, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure all events and rental operations comply with company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures as needed.
  • Handle any emergencies or incidents during events with professionalism and efficiency.

Marketing and Sales Support:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote rental services and events.
  • Assist in developing promotional materials, packages, and offers.
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to sales efforts.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to oversee event setups and teardowns, including lifting and moving equipment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in event management, operations, or a similar role.
  • Proven experience in managing a team and leading successful events.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in event management software and MS Office.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and risk management.

Salary
N100,000 – N150,000 Monthly.
