Job Title: Manager – Consultancy Services

Location: Utako – Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Manager – Consultancy Services will overseeing and manage the operations of a consultancy for the firm. He/she will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of consulting projects and maintaining client satisfaction.


  • Project Management: Lead and manage multiple consulting projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to client requirements. Develop project plans, assign tasks to consultants, and monitor progress to achieve project objectives.
  • Business Development: Identify potential business opportunities and participate in business development activities, such as proposal writing, client presentations, and contract negotiations. Collaborate with the sales team to expand the client base, explore new markets, and achieve revenue targets.
  • Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a primary point of contact for their consulting needs. Understand client expectations, identify opportunities for additional services, and collaborate with consultants to deliver exceptional value and customer satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and provide guidance to a team of consultants, assigning resources appropriately, and ensuring their professional development. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork, knowledge sharing, and effective communication.
  • Consulting Services Delivery: Oversee the delivery of consulting services, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained. Review project deliverables, provide feedback, and ensure that solutions are aligned with clients’ strategic goals and industry best practices.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of consulting services. Identify areas for improvement, develop strategies to optimize performance, and implement appropriate measures to enhance service delivery.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets for consulting projects, tracking expenses and revenue to ensure profitability. Analyze financial data, prepare reports, and make recommendations for cost optimization and revenue growth.
  • Knowledge Management: Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the firm. Develop and implement knowledge management systems, tools, and processes to capture and disseminate best practices, methodologies, and lessons learned.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project success. Implement appropriate risk management strategies, develop contingency plans, and proactively address challenges to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Quality Assurance: Adhere to professional ethics and maintain independence, objectivity, and integrity throughout the audit engagement. Ensure compliance with auditing standards, firm policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Industry and Market Awareness: Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and market developments relevant to the consultancy services. Share insights with the team, propose innovative solutions, and position the firm as a thought leader in the field.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Management or a relevant field (minimum of Second Class Upper or Upper Credit).


  • 5 -7 years working experience, preferably in a consulting firm.

Other Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing consultancy services, preferably in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with clients and team members.
  • Business acumen and a strategic mindset to identify opportunities and drive business growth.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Knowledge of consulting methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Leadership abilities, including team management, coaching, and performance evaluation.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex client challenges.
  • Adaptability and resilience to work in a dynamic and fast-paced consulting environment.
