Job Title: Human Resource Manager, Jumia Services

Job Description

  • Reporting directly into the HR Director, As HR Manager for Jumia Services in Nigeria, reporting into both HR Director and CEO of Jumia Nigeria, your main responsibilities will be to manage all ~1,000 employees of our logistics team and transform HR to build & deliver the best experience of growth covering all aspects of recruiting, onboarding, social relations, training, retention, growth, office management and offboarding.

Your responsibilities will  include, without being limited to:

  • Abiding by the highest standards of operations
    • Implement, administer, automate & scale HR policies & procedures (onboarding, contracts, internal policies, immigration, leave management, payroll, offboarding) in compliance with local regulation;
    • Manage compliance to all HR (safety, health, other) and labour topics for all Jumia companies;
    • Manage the HR & Admin team of JS (Jumia Services) on a daily basis and in their development.
  • Hiring and growing our unique talent base
  • Owning the work environment & culture of Jumia Services in Nigeria
    • Implement satisfaction/motivation barometers, measures and acts accordingly;
    • Suggest appropriate events to strengthen sense of belonging & fun in office;
    • Manage employee relations (social bodies, employee satisfaction, health and security);
    • Manage communication, culture and the office in general (IT, logistics, office initiatives, values dissemination, every-day life).
  • Coaching and advising the management team to support people development efforts.
