We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location:  Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Role Overview

  • We are seeking an experienced accountant to manage NCDF’s finances and the financial activities of our portfolio companies.
  • This role is crucial in ensuring that our economic systems are optimized, compliant, and aligned with our strategic goals for growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations of NCDF and its portfolio companies.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide financial insights to the management team to support decision-making.
  • Coordinate audits and manage relationships with external auditors.
  • Implement and maintain effective financial controls and systems.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Chartered Accountant (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent certification).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and financial management.
  • Strong understanding of Nigerian financial regulations and tax laws.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (eg, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
